Partner Workflow Guide for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Software Certification
This workflow guide covers the steps needed for an independent software vendor (ISV) to complete Red Hat Enterprise Linux Software Certification.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Software Certification has improved with the release of RHCert! An RPM packaged, on-premise executable test suite, conducts technical verification of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform with the vendor's software product installed and running. The resulting log files of the certification test suite are able to be uploaded by the partner to be reviewed by Red Hat, in order to make a certification ruling. Once certified, the vendor's software product will be available as a certified listing in the Ecosystem Catalog.
This workflow guide covers the steps a partner must take, organized into the following sections: Certification On-Boarding, Certification Testing, Publishing a Certified Listing, and Additional Information with helpful information such as obtaining technical support.
For more information on the obligations and requirements of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Software Certification, along with details on the technical verifications conducted by the test suite please refer to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Software Certification Policy. This workflow guide and the certification policy guide are used in conjunction with one another in order to understand the requirements and steps to complete certification.
IMPORTANT: Red Hat recommends that the end user of the certification test suite has working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux along with extensive knowledge of the software product under test. This is especially important if issues arise during the technical verification phase, requiring further review and discussions between Red Hat and the partner.
