Operator-Metadata-Preparation Failed

Issue

A partner has submitted the metadata but failing the first test for metadata_preparation. This test checks that the archive is properly formatted. A partner will fail this test if there is a nested directory, or the container images cannot be accessed.

Environment

  • Operator Config section for Operator Project in Red Hat Partner Connect web site

Resolution

Method 1: Verify there is no Nested Directory

The only items needed to be archived are:

  1. ClusterServiceVersion(s)

  2. CustomResourceDefinition

  3. Package Manifest

If you include the bundle directory or any other nested directory, this test will fail.

Method 2: More Information

If the workaround in Method 1 is not an acceptable solution, a partner needs to open a support ticket and provide the following information:

  • The Project URL

  • Bundle Archive
