Managing your username

Username conventions and rules

The SFTP username must follow standard Linux username conventions (man useradd).

There may only be one SFTP username per Red Hat Account; it is a one to one mapping.

Changing your SFTP username

If there is a need to have the SFTP username changed the partner must contact Red Hat to have that done for them. Please reach out to your Red Hat representative or log a case with the Partner Acceleration Desk.

Is my SFTP username the same as my Red Hat login?

No, they are distinctly different. Your SFTP username is only used for authentication to the SFTP content repository. Your Red Hat login is used to authenticate to the Red Hat Partner Connect website to perform public key management.
