Lab Policy for Partners
Informal policy agreement and best practices for lab use
Lab access is only available to active Red Hat technology partners
Lab access must be requested on the partner’s behalf by a Red Hat associate in order to be considered
If you do not have a Red Hat associate contact please email partner-lab@redhat.com to inquire about obtaining one or to get more information.
This associate or “sponsor” should understand, at a technical level, the partner’s products and projects.
RH sponsor will work with the partner to fill out the appropriate information in the nomination form and to determine the start date of the lab reservation.
Lab access approval will be contingent upon:
Appropriate use case for the lab
Partner ability to be technically self-sufficient using the lab
If not, engineering support must be coordinated ahead of time either through the sponsor or Red Hat's partner engineering backlog request form (also must be coordinated through the partner-lab email alias or sponsor).
Lab usage will be monitored and audited
If the lab is inactive for at least ~25% of the lab reservation, the OPL team will reach out to the sponsor and partner contacts to determine what the issue is, and take appropriate action.
If the lab continues to remain inactive, and we are not able to communicate with the partner contacts, Red Hat reserves the right to revoke lab privileges.
Any inactivity on the part of Red Hat to service requests for collaboration will NOT result in any penalty or lab deletion for the partner
