Rulebooks & Playbooks

Not all content requires a source plugin. The plugins found in the ansible.eda collection provide a general method of sending event data, like the webhook/Kafka plugins. If your technology can utilize these mechanisms then you could focus on building additional content such as example rulebooks and playbooks.

Providing predefined rulebooks with examples of rulesets for addressing the event payloads provided by the technology, and likewise sample playbooks for actions would be beneficial for customers and greatly speed up adoption. This additional content would typically be considered “opinionated” content and would fall into Validated Content.
